Key Responsibilities
  • Work full-time to support our customers remotely, providing expert-level technical assistance and guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, peers, engineering, and support teams to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Understand customer environments, requirements, and security roadmaps to implement the most effective security solutions.
  • Configure, implement, and maintain our Security Operating Platform to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Optimize and migrate policies and objects from existing environments to our Next-Gen Firewall, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Help customers deploy, migrate, and maintain existing firewalls, providing expert-level support and guidance.
  • Test and validate migration environments to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Coordinate and execute cutover to production, ensuring minimal disruption to our customers.
  • Provide guidance on code upgrades and facilitate the development of new application and threat signatures.
  • Interact with our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to understand and diagnose support cases, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Some travel may be required, dependent on customer requests.
  • Work closely with customer security and network teams to build confidence across business units impacted by the change to Palo Alto Networks.
Qualifications
  • High level of experience with Panorama and log collectors.
  • NGFW expertise.
  • Global Protect knowledge.
  • Large enterprise firewall experience (5k and 7k).
  • BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience or equivalent military experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with network/security solutions and technologies (BGP, SD-WAN concepts, VXLAN, and general routing and switching).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience leading security solutions in large environments.
  • Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto Networks products.
  • Experience in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies.
  • Good understanding of Internet protocols and applications.
  • Possess industry certifications - CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work calmly in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to senior leaders and technical peers.
Compensation
  • Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000.
