Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist PRN to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist PRN, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, using film identification method correctly and consistently, and assists in equipment calibration and radioisotope assay operation.
- Performs a variety of clerical tasks to include: inputting/editing exams, and completion of requisition prior to sending study to radiologist.
- Transfers and properly positions patients for examinations in order to obtain desired in-vivo imaging results according to the physician specifications.
- Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Assists physicians in performance or examinations by preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the direction of a licensed physician, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Radiology Technology preferred.
- Texas Medical Board-MRT license required.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- ARRT or NMCT required.
