We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Knott's Berry Farm. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, stain, wallpaper, and coatings to exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities- Read blueprints and drawings to execute assigned painting tasks, order paint supplies, and complete jobs according to specifications.
- Apply paint, vinyl, and wallpaper to walls, furniture, and structures, preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and clear finishes.
- Remove previous paint using sandblasting, scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting, and steam-cleaning, and inspect and refurbish wall surfaces.
- Operate and maintain high-pressure low-volume spray machines, and maintain records and logs of product used and time spent.
- Follow established PPE procedures and company policies, and check with management and work order systems for daily assignments and priorities.
- Provide guest service according to Six Flags standards, and maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work areas.
- Five years' painting experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience preparing surfaces by sanding, scraping, or other means to apply paint, wallpaper, or product specified to inside and outside surfaces of buildings, structures, rides, and other areas.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, technical specifications, and material data sheets, and read color charts and mix paints with automated paint mixers.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs, and pass a mandatory or random drug test and background check.
