Job Summary

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of College and Career Readiness to lead the development and implementation of college and career readiness programming for CMSD scholars. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of education policy, program development, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive college and career readiness strategy that aligns with the district's academic plans and goals.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a team of educators and staff to ensure the development and implementation of high-quality college and career readiness programs.
  • Collaborate with school principals, counselors, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure equitable access to college and career readiness opportunities for all CMSD scholars.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including colleges, universities, and community organizations, to support the district's college and career readiness goals.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform program development and implementation, and to measure the effectiveness of college and career readiness initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support college and career readiness programs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the district's academic teams to ensure alignment with college and career readiness goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in college and career readiness, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, with a focus on college and career readiness.
  • Strong understanding of education policy and program development.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team of educators and staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
