Job Summary:

The Facility Security Manager is responsible for managing all facility security activities in accordance with various U.S. Government regulations, including Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), DoD Manual, DoD Manual M-1, and the CFR 32 Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM). This role ensures compliance with government and company security policies and procedures, and functions as part of the corporate security team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise on-site security staff and contract guards, collaborating and integrating with other sites to ensure consistency and promote integration of related programs.
  • Maintain document control accountability systems, receiving, generating, and accounting for classified materials, and providing security guidance on controlling, safeguarding, and marking classified materials.
  • Implement a method of inspections, audits, and analysis of security functions to determine performance.
  • Develop and manage an active and ongoing security education and training program structured to meet the needs of site operations.
  • Oversee the completion and adherence to the security self-inspection program, as well as the actions to correct deficiencies and improve the overall security posture.
  • Conduct administrative inquiries of incidents involving non-compliance with security requirements, working with security leadership to investigate, prepare, and submit written investigative reports.
  • Manage and plan/obtain appropriate approvals for the construction and/or modification of work areas in accordance with the government's physical security specifications.
  • Provide support to applicable controls in accordance with the Risk Management Framework in coordination with IA security staff.
  • Serve as COMSEC Account Manager and/or Alternate CAM, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to multiple tasks to identify solutions for emerging requirements, frequently with short turnaround times.

Requirements:

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and good business practices.
  • Excellent written communications, aptitude for details, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with current NISP/SAP/SCI/COMSEC security regulations, including physical security and TEMPEST.
  • Self-starter, experience in remote site office environment or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with maintaining and administration of security databases, including Defense Information Security (DISS) and Security Information Management System (SIMS) database.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management (or related field). May substitute additional experience for education.
  • 7-10 years of DoD and security management work experience implementing policies and procedures in accordance with directives and requirements.
  • Possess or obtain FSO certification (curriculum for possessing facilities via DCSA) within 6 months of hire.
