Position Summary:

At Shore Lodge Whitetail LLC, our dedicated Baristas are committed to delivering exceptional beverage experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests. As an integral part of the Food and Beverage team, this role focuses on cultivating an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests and staff to return. The effective execution, promotion, and ongoing assessment of our offerings and training are essential for our success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Craft and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, and specialty items, along with food options like sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workspaces, utensils, and equipment, as well as service and seating areas.
• Monitor the temperatures of refrigeration and heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Engage with customers by describing menu items and recommending products that may interest them.
• Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies and retail items.
• Provide detailed information about products, including coffee blends and preparation methods.
• Serve ready-to-eat items such as muffins, biscotti, or bagels.
• Process customer orders and communicate them to the kitchen staff for preparation.
• Handle customer transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Weigh, grind, and package coffee beans for customers.
• Label and date food items for sale.
• Create promotional signage for store products or events.
• Demonstrate the operation of retail equipment, including espresso machines.
• Set up and replenish product displays.
• Prepare fruits, vegetables, desserts, or meats for food service.
• Dispose of waste appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficient in using a POS system.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Capable of following directions and delegating tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining composure.
