The Ultrasound Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing ultrasound assessments utilizing advanced imaging technology.
This position involves interpreting and evaluating ultrasound images to generate detailed reports, while also managing patient documentation and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
Under direct supervision, the Ultrasound Imaging Specialist is tasked with the upkeep and preparation of ultrasound machinery and necessary supplies for patient evaluations.
Key Responsibilities in Allied Health:
Conducts ultrasound assessments employing state-of-the-art imaging technology, capturing high-quality images that assist in precise diagnosis, treatment planning, and tracking patient progress.
Analyzes and interprets ultrasound images to produce thorough reports for medical professionals, facilitating timely and accurate diagnoses for optimal patient management and enhanced healthcare outcomes.
Ensures the maintenance and readiness of ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient evaluations to guarantee peak performance and image clarity.Follows stringent safety protocols during ultrasound examinations to reduce risks and safeguard patient health.
Delivers exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries, clarifying procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process, thereby enhancing patient satisfaction and cooperation.
Maintains and reviews patient records and documentation, filing test results and examination findings post-physician review to support efficient healthcare delivery and foster effective communication among the healthcare team.
Performs additional duties as required.Qualifications:
EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program recognized by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Sonography.
EXPERIENCE:Required: Minimum of 1 year.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:Required: ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist or ARRT (S)- Sonographer certification.
