About the Role

You will be part of our Frameworks & Services team, creating fundamental building blocks that empower customers to use our products more effectively. Your focus will include authentication and authorization, abstractions for interacting with various source code systems, and services configuring Semgrep scans and processing their results.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop major initiatives end-to-end, from investigation through design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Contribute to technical and product direction, collaborating with the team to determine the future of the internal platform, features to build, and how to build them.
  • Architect and build elegant, maintainable, extensible software systems.
  • Learn from internal and external users to understand their needs, build solutions addressing their pain points.
  • Design intuitive, simple, robust APIs solving complex problems using elegant abstractions.
  • Evaluate continual, high-availability operation of services using modern site-reliability practices, including on-call rotation participation.
  • Advise and mentor other engineers via thoughtful code reviews, planning discussions, technical documentation, and formal mentorship.
  • Work with urgency, understanding your impact generates immediate value for customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and security researchers to deliver exceptional products.
Requirements and Qualifications

We seek candidates with:

  • At least 4 years of experience writing production software and building web applications. Our stack includes Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Postgres on AWS with Kubernetes.
  • Excitement about building for internal and external customers, learning their needs, iterating quickly, and seeing solutions solve their core problems.
  • Comprehensive full-stack experience up and down the stack.
  • Excellent and proactive communication, both verbal and written.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $166,000-196,000 USD per year, reflecting the San Francisco Bay Area location. Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary. We strive to fairly compensate every employee, updating our internal compensation bands regularly based on market data to ensure they're above average for comparable roles.
