X-66 Systems Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled X-66 Systems Engineer to join our team at Boeing Research and Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the definition of requirements for aircraft, systems, and systems of systems, as well as developing and executing the X-66 Systems Engineering Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition of requirements for aircraft, systems, and systems of systems
  • Develop and execute the X-66 Systems Engineering Management Plan
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop requirements, assess architectures and designs, identify safety risks, and develop associated mitigations
  • Verify final designs meet program requirements and goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams
  • Experience leading one or more of the following: requirements validation/verification, functional integration, inter/intra-systems analysis, and Concept of Operations development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience communicating verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
