Assistant General Manager, Hair Color Bar

As the Assistant General Manager at Madison Reed Hair Color Bar, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional client journey from the moment they arrive until they leave. This position is crucial for enhancing our team members' performance and enriching clients' experiences by understanding their diverse needs and delivering personalized service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, mentor, and support the Hair Color Bar team on a daily basis.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and other essential Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate employee schedules in alignment with business forecasts and operational requirements.
  • Manage labor and budgetary allocations based on business trends and forecasts.
  • Engage with clients to provide a distinctive and enjoyable experience tailored to their unique preferences, fostering future loyalty.
  • Actively participate in all roles, including Colorist and Associate Colorist, while delivering services.
  • Assist in recruitment and networking efforts alongside talent acquisition to attract new team members.
  • Develop team members to reflect the diversity of our clientele and workforce.
  • Coach and cultivate team members to promote a strong team culture, client satisfaction, and overall performance.
  • Address and resolve all client service concerns promptly, including feedback from client surveys.
  • Ensure the organization and presentation of each Hair Color Bar meets company standards.
  • Verify that all company assets are accounted for and well-maintained.
  • Utilize Madison Reed systems to effectively manage operations and drive sales, including service capacity and online order pickups.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year in operational management, with at least 2 years in a service-focused environment.
  • Cosmetology/Hairdressing license required, with completed hours to perform hair color services as per state regulations.
  • Demonstrated communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

In this role, team members will frequently stand or walk for extended periods, bend, twist, and perform various manual tasks. The ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds may be required on occasion.
