Under the supervision and/or direction of the physician or nurse, the Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional performs various duties assisting with the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established standards.
ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional is responsible for:
- Performing Point of Care Testing and quality control
- Performing EKGs as necessary
- Ensuring positive patient identification
- Understanding how to utilize various systems, including Current health information system, DI (Document Imaging), DHIN (Delaware Health Information Network), Gold, Provider Portal, and Web sites for insurance verification/eligibility
- Following protocols appropriate for the practice
- Completing office support tasks accurately and within required time frames
- Returning and retrieving messages timely and utilizing the EMR inboxes to sort messages
- Routinely demonstrating proper technique in operating all office equipment
- Maintaining clean/stocked patient care area
- Medical Assistant Skill Proficiency
- Assisting nurses/techs with patient preparation for examinations, treatments, and/or procedures
- Prioritizing and demonstrating initiative
- Readily seeking out duties and working with all staff to render assistance
- Completing all duties in a positive and productive manner
- Taking an active role in performance improvement
- Conscious of biohazard safety as it relates to the job
The Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional must have:
- Two years medical/clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or graduate of Medical Assistant Program
The Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional must possess:
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
- Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
- Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
- Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
- Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records
- Experience In Practice Or Clinic Setting
The Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional must have:
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
The Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional must have:
- High school graduate or equivalent
The salary for the Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Professional is:
- USD $18.25/Hr.
- USD $28.29/Hr.
