Overview

Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and team members. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous patrols throughout the Medical Center to identify and address potential security threats.
  • Respond to calls and codes for security assistance, taking prompt and effective action to resolve situations.
  • Control access to the Medical Center, issuing passes and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Investigate security incidents, gathering information and interviewing witnesses as needed.
  • Participate in fire drills and perform fire watches, ensuring the safety of our patients and team members.
  • Provide escorts and assistance to team members and visitors as requested.
  • Inspect and maintain security equipment, reporting any damage or issues to the Security Leader.
  • Stay informed about safety and security conditions, reporting any concerns to the Security Leader.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of college credits.
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in law enforcement.
