Job Overview

The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing exceptional care and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Equipment and Supplies: The CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for gathering necessary medical and imaging supplies for specific procedures, adhering to established protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Patient Comfort and Communication: Ensuring the physical and psychological comfort of patients is paramount. The specialist will communicate effectively with patients and their families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure privacy.
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that scanning rooms are stocked with essential supplies, including linens and contrast media, is a key function of this role.
  • Scheduling Coordination: The specialist will coordinate the daily schedule of exams, ensuring timely management of emergency and unscheduled procedures while maintaining patient safety.
  • Collaboration with Staff: Assisting in routine procedures and maintaining quality assurance standards is essential. The specialist will also report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Additional Responsibilities: In critical situations requiring immediate imaging results, the specialist will follow established protocols to ensure rapid processing and communication of findings.
Qualifications
  • Current certification/licensure as required for the position.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
