### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Universal Health Services. As a Registered Nurse in the NICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

### Responsibilities

* Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients in the NICU, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice guidelines.
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
* Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-advocacy.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

### Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license in the state of Texas.
* BLS certification from the American Heart Association, with the ability to maintain certification throughout employment.
* NRP certification within 6 months of hire, with ongoing maintenance and renewal.
* STABLE certification within 12 months of hire, with repeat renewal classes every 2 years.
* 90% score on neonatal medication exam, with two chances to pass with remediation material available.
