Pharmacy Technician Job Description

Job Summary

This part-time Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for supporting the pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and service. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications, including counting and labeling prescriptions
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to CVS Health's high standards for quality and safety
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on pharmacy procedures and regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately count and label prescriptions
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods
