About the Position
The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated geriatrician to join our team in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including family medicine and internal medicine physicians, advanced practice providers, and psychologists.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate innovative clinical programs to enhance care and access to care for Orange County's seniors.
- Collaborate with faculty in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Population Health to develop interdisciplinary education.
- Participate in local, national, and international geriatric associations and organizations.
- Ambulatory patient care practice.
- Fellow supervision, residency teaching, and precepting medical students.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution with appropriate clinical training and experience.
- Board certification in Family Medicine/ Internal Medicine and board eligibility/board certification in Geriatric Medicine.
- Excellent clinical skills; interest in clinical teaching.
- Eligibility for UC Irvine Medical Center medical staff privileges required.
- Candidate must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional services, and/or research suitable to the HS Clinical Professor series.
