Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the Alamogordo Police Department. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, including traffic accidents and crimes
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Testify in court and provide expert opinions
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and departments
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license
  • Basic Law Enforcement Officer Certification
  • Pass a background investigation, polygraph test, and psychological evaluation
