About Us:

The Gallo Laboratory at the Center for Integrative Brain Research (CIBR) is at the forefront of investigating the genetic and cellular mechanisms governing neural development and injury, and neurodevelopmental disorders in the neonatal Central Nervous System (CNS).

Situated within a multidisciplinary and highly interactive environment, our laboratory fosters collaboration and innovation.

We are dedicated to advancing the understanding of neonatal brain development and function/dysfunction, leveraging expertise in genetic mouse models, neuroembryology, molecular and cellular manipulation, electrophysiology, and animal behavior.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing research endeavors by:

  • Developing scientific skills commensurate with the postdoctoral level
  • Conducting research and development activities in support of assigned projects
  • Protocol development and review
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Preparation of manuscripts and fellowship applications
  • Training in the conduct of research
Key Features of the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in neurophysiological techniques, integrating electrophysiology, molecular biology, and multiomics, including Patch-Seq.

Experience with in-vivo and/or ex-vivo opto/chemogenetics techniques is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate neuronal plasticity in cerebellar circuits through current clamp and/or pair recordings is a significant advantage
