Job Title: Provider Network Navigator for WA Cares Fund

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Provider Network Navigator to join our team at the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining a network of qualified providers to serve WA Cares Fund beneficiaries.

Job Summary:

The Provider Network Navigator will be responsible for identifying and onboarding long-term services and support providers who will offer approved WA Care Services to eligible program beneficiaries. This includes verifying provider eligibility, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outreach and recruiting strategies to engage providers across multiple platforms, communities, and languages.
  • Create culturally appropriate outreach materials and strategies for community partners and tribal providers.
  • Deliver and collaborate in the development of training in various formats, including train-the-trainer sessions to equip providers with the skills and knowledge they need to function within the WA Cares program.
  • Facilitate provider application, registration, and contracting, and serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries from providers.
  • Conduct provider quality assurance audits and monitoring, developing and supporting providers to navigate performance improvement plans.
  • Regularly review provider qualifications, such as licenses, insurance, and updates on their business status and performance.
Requirements:
  • A combination of professional/practical experience of 9 years in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.
  • A master's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field, plus 4 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.
  • A bachelor's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.
  • Or, one year of work experience equivalent to a Social and Health Program Consultant 3 or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skilled in recruiting, evaluating, and auditing contracted employees.
  • Knowledgeable about long-term care provider regulations or licensing requirements and compliance.
  • Experience with ProviderOne, AAA, Medicaid systems, and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process improvement.
  • Proficient in writing policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions autonomously.
  • Positive, proactive collaboration with the ability to influence and engage business partners.
