Job Summary

Cardiovascular PACU/PAPA RN - Full-time, Weekend Baylor Night Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Sign-on bonus up to $ Relocation or Travel Stipend Available.

All positions must maintain cross-training in both Preop and Post-op care.

As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiovascular PACU/PAPA team, you will provide high-quality care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct age-specific admission and ongoing assessments, documenting and using them to develop a plan of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care, revising it as needed.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes for patients of all ages, as appropriate to the service area.
  • Accurately administer and document treatments and medications for patients of all ages, utilizing automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
  • Obtain CPR and, as needed, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
  • Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC) and successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.
