Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest standard of hospitality and customer service as expected by our guests.
- Thoroughly clean and restock guest rooms during and after each guest's stay, including but not limited to:
- Stripping and making beds, changing linens, and replacing duvet covers, which may involve lifting bedspreads weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Scrubbing and sanitizing showers, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
- Dusting all furniture, baseboards, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
- Replacing bathroom towels and travel amenities.
- Vacuuming guest rooms daily and emptying wastebaskets.
- In suites, operating the dishwasher and organizing kitchen amenities to designated levels.
- Attend to guests' needs and requests, including delivering additional bathroom supplies, providing stayover service, and promptly reporting repairs to Engineering.
- Maintain the security of guest rooms and ensure guests' privacy by keeping room assignments confidential and securing doors for rooms being cleaned for stayover guests.
- Collaborate with all hotel departments to manage guest requests and respond to general inquiries about the hotel and its surroundings.
- Support fellow team members to enhance the overall performance of the department and the hotel.
- Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant is responsible for adhering to company standards, safety, and security protocols, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred.
- Ability to scrub and clean surfaces, reach overhead for cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. Typical shifts are from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing, with basic English proficiency.
- Physical capability to engage in continuous movement, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift and perform repetitive motions.
- Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, multitasking, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
