Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians and serve as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization.
  • Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal denials in a timely manner.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, including on-call schedules.
Requirements
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
