We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate to join our Loan Operations team at SUMITOMO MITSUI TRUST BANK, LIMITED. As an Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our loan processing activities, working closely with our Vice Presidents and Assistant Vice Presidents to coordinate and approve daily activities.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Execution: Assist in monitoring and anticipating work volume, setting priorities, and distributing work among subordinates to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan operations.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all systems and files, maintaining an appropriate audit trail to support operations conducted.
- Training and Development: Train and assess subordinates, making recommendations to the Department Manager on staffing-related issues.
- Workflow Coordination: Coordinate workflow and information flow between Loan Operations and other departments, identifying and reporting operational irregularities to the Department Manager.
- Process Improvement: Assist in establishing and implementing new workflows and procedures to improve Department performance, updating various manuals as needed.
- Performance Review: Assist in reviewing non-exempt staff's job performance, performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or accounting, or equivalent, with 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in loan operations in a bank, with bilateral/syndicated/agency loans experience required, and Loan IQ experience (version 6 or later) highly preferred.
- Skills: Solid knowledge of accounting theory/bookkeeping and credit instruments, good mathematical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Email, Calendar, Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and SharePoint, good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
