About Our Speech-Language Pathologist Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote effective communication and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, tracking progress and identifying areas for further support.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of comprehensive plans that meet the needs of each student.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff, enhancing their knowledge and skills in supporting students with speech and language disorders.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Connecticut Educator Certification in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, with a strong understanding of special education regulations and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
