Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team at Gentex Corporation. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet our quality and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate contracts that include costs, terms, and conditions, as well as customer flow downs and FAR/DFAR clauses.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with our standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier relationships and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- 8-10 years of experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- APICS or CPM certification is desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP manufacturing planning systems.
