Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced behavioral health inpatient environment
- Utilize discretion and independent judgment to prioritize and coordinate care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of licensed and unlicensed staff
- Participate in unit milieu management and conduct hallway and room monitoring
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure compliance with patient rights and 5150 laws
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Ability to apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills
- Basic knowledge of mental healthcare regulations, 5150 laws, patient rights, and accreditation
- Two years of sobriety required for staff and at least five years for management
- DNP degree to be completed two and a half years post-hire date
