Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected traveler will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU. This includes:

  • Monitoring patient conditions and vital signs
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid Ohio Nursing License
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Proficient in IV Start and Telemetry
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records
Unit Details

The PCU unit is known for its supportive environment, accepting first-time travelers. Key details include:

  • Patient-to-nurse ratio typically ranges from 1:4 to 1:5
  • Unit capacity: 39 beds
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required, but flu vaccination is mandatory with exemptions considered
