Job Title: Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician

Job Summary:

Centria Autism is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ABA therapy services to young children with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Direct Client Care: Deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions to children with autism, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training methods.
  • Implement Treatment Plans: Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in the client's individualized treatment plan.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior to inform treatment decisions.
  • Parent and Caregiver Training: Assist with training parents and caregivers in line with the client's individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Documentation and Communication: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client progress and effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress.
  • Client Safety and Well-being: Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients and report all critical incidents and safety concerns.
  • Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Assistance with Client Materials: Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Background Check: Be willing to participate in the company's background check process.
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Transportation: Have reliable transportation.
  • Age: Be at least 18 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid: Be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • TB Test: Be willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to physically perform the job, including getting down on the floor and standing up many times, lifting up to 50lbs, and running/moving quickly if required for the interaction with and safety and protection of the children with whom you work.
  • Attention to Detail: Have strong attention to detail with the ability to do repetitive tasks in a precise manner.
  • Instruction Following: Be able to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Technology Skills: Have a strong understanding of technology to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications.
  • Communication Skills: Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cultural Competency: Have strong cultural competency with the ability to remain flexible and open-minded.
