Perioperative Nurse

The Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Perioperative Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia unit and other areas of perioperative services.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient care in the perioperative setting
- Assess, interpret, and report diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition
- Monitor patients' vital signs, breathing, alertness, and awareness following surgical procedures
- Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered
- Participate in and contribute to committees, teams, and projects in keeping with the organization's strategic goals
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Active Iowa Registered Nurse Licensure
- ACLS/PALS/BLS certification
- Prefer prior experience in post-operative nursing
- Ability to work within the guidelines established by the organizational structure
