Job Summary

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Dispensing medications and preparing pharmaceuticals in a Medical Facility
  • Providing information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications
  • Designing and conducting interdisciplinary educational programs in the areas of drug therapy
  • Participating in daily rounds to monitor and review drug-therapy for rational indications, dosing, adverse drug reactions, IV incompatibilities and complications of multiple drug therapies
  • Evaluating drug literature and providing drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients


Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:



  • Hold a doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
  • Be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Have one year of professional pharmacy experience in a Medical Facility
