Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Kennel Assistant to join our team at Parrett Veterinary Clinic. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, providing exceptional care and attention to their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch care to patients visiting our clinic for grooming and boarding, including walking, feeding, and administering medication as needed.
  • Ensure the boarding area is clean and safe for all patients by cleaning cages, runs, and ward areas, and washing laundry.
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive experience for our clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks to control the spread of disease and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work on weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier patients.
  • Practices OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
