Job Title: IR Tech

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an IR Tech, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate procedures.
  • Assist in scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures, monitoring patients during procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure patient and operator safety.
  • Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps, and understand the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an IR Tech.
  • BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.

As an IR Tech, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. You must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional Requirements:

  • ARRT (VI), BLS, 2 Years

Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
