We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in coordinating all phases of nutrition care, including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling of hospitalized patients and outpatients in various settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and develop and implement dietary care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Develop measurable short and long-term nutritional goals and evaluate to desired outcomes.
- Ensure accurate calculation of nutritional needs based upon individual therapeutic need.
- Ensure documentation in medical record is timely, accurate, and in accordance with PCD guidelines.
- Monitor and inspect meal service for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
- Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes that will positively affect the overall patient experience.
- Contribute to a culture of patient-centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian in an acute care environment OR successful completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition; Registered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Candidates eligible for registration may be hired with the understanding that registration will be achieved within 90 days of hire.
