We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Soccer League Coach to lead our youth soccer program at the YMCA of Greater Boston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coaching and refereeing for children aged 3-8, while creating an engaging and supportive environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities- Coaching and Refereeing: Instruct and coach children on soccer fundamentals, including skills and drills, and referee games to ensure fair play and adherence to the rules.
- Session Structure: Develop and implement a session structure that includes a brief lesson on drills, followed by facilitating gameplay among participants.
- Adaptability: Adapt to a schedule that may change based on enrollment and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in soccer coaching, particularly with young children.
- Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with soccer rules and ability to referee games, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to work Sunday mornings and early afternoons consistently.
