Position Overview

The Registered Travel Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Oncology care plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a strong background in nursing practices.

Certification Requirements

All candidates must possess valid AHA certifications. Please ensure that all technical certifications required for the unit are verified using the Allied Report and Job Description. For Registered Medical Assistants (RMAs) and Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), national certification through any recognized certifying body is mandatory.

Additionally, proof of annual training in OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards is required.

Job Details
  • Local candidates are accepted.
  • Weekend night shifts are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
  • At least one winter holiday availability is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing is essential.
  • The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6.
  • RTO (Request Time Off) must be provided at the time of submission.
  • Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including the COVID booster.
  • A valid NJ nursing license or compact license is required at the time of submission.

Schedule Information

Additional Details

A copy of the current Driver's License is required for verification.

AHA certification is not required for NICU positions but is necessary for LDRP, ICU, ER, IR, PACU, and CATH units. A pharmacology exam must be completed no later than one day prior to the start date. Additionally, a unit-specific competency exam and IV Therapy certification (if applicable) are required to be completed before the start date.
