At Tufts Medicine, we're seeking an experienced Addiction Psychiatrist to join our team at Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients struggling with addiction.
About the OpportunityWe're looking for a highly skilled Addiction Psychiatrist to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs. As an Addiction Psychiatrist at Tufts Medicine, you'll have the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, leveraging your expertise to develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social aspects of addiction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with substance use disorders, incorporating evidence-based practices and addressing co-occurring mental health conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, including medication management, behavioral therapy, and support services
- Participate in academic appointments with Tufts University School of Medicine, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program, with board certification in adult psychiatry
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Massachusetts
- Fellowship training or board certification in addiction psychiatry is strongly preferred
