Position OverviewThe travel nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a catheterization lab setting. This role encompasses a variety of critical responsibilities, including:
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing their medical history, medications, and allergies to ensure they are adequately prepared for procedures.
- Preparation for Procedures: Ensure that patients are properly prepared, and that all necessary equipment and the procedure room are ready.
- Monitoring: Vigilantly observe patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the duration of the procedure.
- Assisting Physicians: Collaborate with physicians during procedures, which includes administering medications and operating necessary equipment.
- Post-Procedure Care: Provide comprehensive care following procedures, including monitoring for any complications and managing medication administration.
- Documentation: Accurately record all relevant patient information, including vital signs and any adverse reactions encountered.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Required qualifications include:
- A current registered nursing license
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Experience in a catheterization lab setting
