About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartment complex and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community. This role reports directly to the Regional Manager and is a key member of the Olive Tree Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks to ensure the upkeep of the property.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
  • Make Ready Units: Prepare units for new move-ins by completing necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • HVAC Systems: Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair, and replace them as needed.
  • Emergency Maintenance: Be available for 24-hour emergency maintenance and respond promptly to resident requests.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of property systems.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
  • Special Projects: Coordinate special projects as directed by the Regional Manager.

Requirements:

  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks outlined above.
  • Communication: Have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
