POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store functions. This includes ensuring an exceptional customer experience and maximizing profitability. We take pride in our work and believe that our teams create an extraordinary workplace for learning and growth.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Results Orientation

Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product knowledge with customers; suggests merchandise options or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.

Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual presentation standards.

Maintains excellence in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and all other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Contributes to visual merchandising efforts, including monthly store layouts and area maintenance.

Customer Engagement

Embodies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.

Addresses customer inquiries promptly and effectively.

Facilitates a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about policies related to payments, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, security measures, and other operational procedures.

Encourages purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.

Enlists clients in the rewards program.

Develops and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.

Maintains awareness of current product fit and style offerings both in-store and online.

Ensures consistent communication with clients through the use of a customer relationship book.

Operational Excellence

Assists in replenishment tasks to keep the store well-stocked and inviting.

Supports fulfillment processes for locating merchandise.

Participates in visual merchandising tasks, including floor displays, window arrangements, and signage placement as directed.

Helps maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Team Collaboration and Development

Encourages an inclusive and cooperative approach to problem-solving.

Seeks opportunities for personal growth and actively requests feedback.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred experience in retail or sales.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Strong communication skills.

Exceptional customer service abilities.

Able to learn and adapt to technology provided by the company.

Excellent organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.

Regular attendance is essential to fulfill the requirements of this position, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent walking and standing throughout an 8-hour shift.

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of an 8-hour shift).

Regular climbing (34%-66% of an 8-hour shift).
