Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

About the Role:

The primary function of this position is to perform all phases of CT scan testing, working with hospital in-patients and outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols of the department. You will also be responsible for performing other diagnostic imaging exams as skills permit, as well as clerical and scheduling duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging exams as assigned
  • Verify insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patients
  • Assist in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety
  • Administer contrast media under physician supervision
  • Assess patients for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status
  • Perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development
  • Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices
Requirements:
  • Completion of ARRT registry in CT Scan
  • Licensed by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
  • Completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement
