Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Travel CT Technologist to join our dynamic team at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Crisis Response. This role is essential in providing high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R)(CT)
Job Responsibilities
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
  • Traveler Experience: Open to first-time travelers
  • Skills Required: Inpatient, ER, Adult ICU
  • Scanner Proficiency: Experience with GE & Siemens scanners is mandatory
  • Trauma Unit: Level II Trauma Unit
  • Daily Caseload: Scans across 4 rooms
  • Patient Demographics: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
Special Procedures

This position is located in the emergency department, utilizing a Siemens scanner for routine ED patients, including Code Stroke and level 2 trauma cases.

Team Structure

On the first shift, typically 4-5 technologists are present; the second shift after 5 PM has 2-3 technologists, while the third shift has 1 technologist, and weekends require 2 technologists.

Typical Workload

In an 8-hour shift, the expected patient load for one technologist ranges from 8 to 12 patients.

Job Requirements
  • CT Procedure Experience: Proficient in Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CT Angiography, and Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Additional Skills: Outpatient procedures, IV starts, PACS, Contrast administration, and Visage
Schedule Information
  • Hours Offered: 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12-hour mids on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 09:45 to 22:15
Unit Specific Information

This role is in a very fast-paced environment, and the ability to adapt quickly is essential.
