Job Title: PRN Registered Nurse

Giving Home Health Care Careers is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the House Springs, MO area. As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide patient care in the comfort of their own homes, working with a variety of patients with different needs and conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute physician-prescribed plans of care, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
  • Complete compliant documentation of care provided, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Conduct patient assessments, coordinate care, and perform various activities associated with daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Monitor vitals, GI intake and output, and assess skin integrity, administering wound care as needed.
  • Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient health and progress.
  • Provide education and training to patients, their families, and Home Health Aides, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Collaborate with and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Attendants, ensuring a seamless and effective care delivery.
  • Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet patient needs, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
Requirements:
  • Education, licensing, and certification: graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • TB test and physical examination.
  • Maintain required insurance.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
  • Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
  • Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to patient homes.
  • Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end-of-life care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience as an RN/LPN in a clinical or home health setting.
  • Ability to assist with two-person assist.
