Job Summary

Eastern State Hospital is currently recruiting for a full-time Nurse Assistant/Mental Health Associate to provide high-quality patient care to adult patients with a primary psychiatric diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including obtaining vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Provide direct patient care by planning, organizing, and implementing psychiatric rehabilitation activities.
  • Escort patients to and from activities, screen and assess patients, and provide documentation and records of patient behavior.
  • Assist in patient supervision during treatment/support activities and lead/co-lead group activities.
Requirements
  • Compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a team, take direction, and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and family members.
  • Knowledge of CPR and basic concept of abnormal vital sign parameters.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and basic computer navigation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare experience and CPR certification.
