Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Inspired Living at Kenner. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents and ensuring their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of resident health status and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and address any concerns or issues.
  • Clinical Support and Training: Provide clinical guidance and training to care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Medication Management: Review and administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Professionalism: Foster a positive and supportive team environment, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to excellence in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent required; LPN licensure required.
  • Experience: One year of experience as a nurse or caregiver, preferably in assisted living, home health, or memory care; minimum six months experience in a supervisory role.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to read physician orders and match to Medication Administration Records; understanding of medical terminology; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
