Job Summary

Nye Health Services is seeking a skilled Lead CNA - Training Specialist to join our team at the Gateway Vista campus in Lincoln, NE. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents and supporting the growth and development of our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mentorship and training to new CNAs, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of new CNAs, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Round in resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are being delivered, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Lead the execution of the nursing assistant onboarding program, setting expectations and standards for dress code, attendance, communication, and professionalism
  • Conduct group huddles for educational needs and assist with group in-services and competencies as requested by nursing leadership
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Nurses Assistant course and certification by the State of Nebraska
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course and certification by the State of Nebraska (preferred but not required)
  • Be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Experience preferred but not required
