Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate bed requests using approved criteria to ensure patients are expediently assigned rooms and utilize all critical resources within the organization.
  • Respond to requests from transferring physicians, hospitals, and peers, working collaboratively with nursing supervisors, nurse managers, and assistant nurse managers to improve patient flow throughout all nursing units.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, professional communication, and complete customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce length of stay.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in patient flow and transfer processes.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; if attended an approved school of nursing, must have 2 years of acute care hospital experience in the past 3 years.
  • Three years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in a transfer center or similar setting.
  • Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
