Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As a PreOp & Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in the immediate post-anesthesia period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate a treatment plan to achieve the goals of the Preop & Recovery department.
  • Provide safe nursing care and a safe environment for patients and families.
  • Transcribe and implement physician orders and document all patient-related information.
  • Administer medication and IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines.
  • Update/revise plan of care as needed, based on continued assessment of patient.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience of Nursing is strongly preferred.
