Position Overview
Join a dynamic organization dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of diverse communities through exceptional care.
Role Summary:
This position involves advanced professional responsibilities related to assessing patient disabilities, formulating, and implementing physical therapy interventions. The incumbent will oversee a specialized area and may provide guidance to support personnel. Responsibilities include thorough documentation, patient and family education, and contributions to clinical program development and oversight. The role operates under general supervision, with all treatment plans being physician-directed. Employees are expected to demonstrate initiative and judgment in creating tailored treatment programs that address individual patient needs. Performance is regularly reviewed by supervising therapists or physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate PT documentation in medical records according to departmental standards and ensure proper records for billing and statistical purposes.
2. Assess patients, establish Physical Therapy (PT) treatment objectives, develop a comprehensive PT treatment strategy, and manage necessary resources to achieve the set goals.
3. Efficiently manage a diverse PT caseload.
4. Design and coordinate clinical programs.
5. Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to students and/or staff, including planning orientation, caseload management, and educational activities. Offer consistent feedback and evaluation of performance.
Additional Information
Educational Qualifications:
● Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification:
● Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina.
● BLS certification required.
Professional Experience:
● Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, with at least one (1) year in a specialized field.
