Our client, a leading organization in the Orlando market, is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Operations Manager to join their finance division. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting and Finance, this individual will oversee critical financial operations and play a key role in shaping the company's financial future.

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Operations Manager
- Oversight of all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reports.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, charts of accounts, fixed asset inventory, and depreciation schedules.
- Create and manage annual budgets and monthly forecasting models.
- Review journal entries for accuracy in monthly and year-end financial statements.
- Presentation of financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Evaluation of revenue recognition for contributions and earned revenue.
- Support for balance sheet accounts, including cash, receivables, fixed assets, and deferred revenue.
- Preparation of audit schedules and tax filings, ensuring compliance and timeliness.
- Collaboration with departmental staff for precise financial data and analysis.
- Financial performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications for the Senior Financial Operations Manager
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and tax laws (a plus).
