QC Laboratory Specialist/Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Laboratory Specialist/Technologist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing various testing procedures on blood products to ensure their quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic through advanced manufacturing, processing, and test procedures on blood products.
- Interpret test results and release blood products to area hospitals.
- Identify and quarantine products/samples that do not meet quality requirements.
- Meet quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department.
- Perform quality control on products, reagents, equipment, and various test kits.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in science or Bachelor's degree in an applied science.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment, personal computer, and applicable software.
- Available to work overtime, other shifts, early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
